Bon Jovi: The Making of the Bad Medicine Video

Found this on You Tube, figured I would share.

Part 1

Part 2

If you watch at the very beginning the kid Standing next to the Late Great Sam Kinison is everyone's favorite balding Bongiovi brother Matt, because Tony isn't balding and Jon is not balding he's thinning and there's a difference.

And OMG Alec is wearing one of Cher's wigs.  Either that or a dead cat.

Bon Jovi: What do You Got The Video

I love you youtube

BTW I have determined that the actress in the video is Scottie Thompson, for those of you that watch NCIS she played Jeanne Benoit daughter of the French Arms dealer "The Frog" and girlfriend of Tony DiNozzo. She later accused him of killing her father after she ran off to Africa.

Bon Jovi: GARAGELAND

What a great song off the Box Set!  Glad to hear it played live, hopefully if you're going to a show this summer you'll hear it too.  Otherwise pull out 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong Disc 2 Track # 1 (and if you're really feeling sassy pull out disc 3 track #1 one of my all time favorite Bon Jovi Track which they will probably never play live *sniff*)

Bon Jovi: 21 Years Ago Today

Ok, so it's 1 year too late for a Sgt. Pepper reference but still, if you were alive like I was in 1989, doesn't it make you feel old?

21 years ago today Bon Jovi performed at Giants Stadium for the 'very first time' (that's a Madonna Reference).  The proverbial Giants Stadium Cherry was broken.  :)

Here's the backstage laminate that was used.

I remember watching out for this on MTV in the days following the concert:

I myself did not get to go to this concert, I asked if I could sleep in front of the Meadowlands Arena to get tickets the night before they went on sale in March of 89, but was told at 13 I would be raped and or murdered.  Parents have such faith in their children.  Kids don't know how lucky they have it today, I mean you sit in front of your computer for TicketBastard to determine that it's 10 o'clock and then you hit refresh until all the scalpers and bots have bought up the tickets, then you head to a reseller like Stub Hub for your seats that are double what the purchaser bought them for.

But I digress, the anniversary of this historic show is today, so have a drink in it's honor.

I would get to see them play there the first night on the OWN tour in 2001

Oh here's Part of Giants Stadium from Access All Area, the early part has no sound (stupid You Tube)

Today is also my High School Band Directors Birthday! So happy Birthday Robert Leive wherever you are playing your trumpet w/the Wooster Street Trolley Band

Happy Friday! Get up and shake that thing

Nothing makes me happier than Bon Jovi....

I heard We Weren't Born to Follow (WWBTF) a few weeks ago and I thought something was missing and you would think in 23+ years of listening to Bon Jovi I could put a finger on something that's missing.

But I couldn't.  Maybe there's too much going on (or not going) on in my life that I can no longer take days of my life to review, study, and philosophize the meanings and missings of a Bon Jovi song.  I listen to their music and it makes me feel less sad about my situation and takes away some of my stress for a little while.

But I read elsewhere on the interwebs that the song was missing a Richie Sambora guitar solo.  A Bon Jovi (the band not the solo work) song without a Richie solo is like a day in the rain forest without rain.  I mean what fun will it be to hear WWBTF LIVE without seeing a Richie Solo Face (as illustrated in the next picture):

Bon Jovi -

I have always wondered if this is his "O" face.  If you personally know please share the details with me. LOL

So then word comes out, Richie added a solo for the album release but the one you & I are hearing on radio does not contain Richie's solo.

But then I saw this post:
http://thegoddesshathor.blogspot.com/2009/09/wwbtf-richie-solo.html

And I watched this video:

And there you will find the solo.

To thank the Gods for this I offer a picture I took of Jon Bon Jovi's butt.

Jon Bon Jovi's Butt

Amen.
