Anyway, in the commercial below Jon doesn't actually sing, but they use video from Live From London.
I hope they got permission!
Bon Jovi are the latest mega band to sing in Japanese about their midnight cravings
By Robert Michael Poole 12 November, 2010
Bon Jovi -- rockers, actors, but Japanese speakers? Yes, if you watch new footage of their 1995 gig in Wembley Stadium, which appears to show the group singing parts of their hit "You Give Love A Bad Name" in Japanese.
In fact, the band are the latest act recruited to sing about Nissin's Cup Noodles, theirs being a teenage tale.
Followling MISIA’s “Everything,” British funk band Jamiroquai’s “Virtual Insanity” and power pop group GLAY’s “HOWEVER,” Bon Jovi sang new lyrics in honor of the ever-popular noodle. The lyrics are as follows;
"The son is a high school third grader
He was studying for his exams
His cup noodle midnight snack
His mom had forgotten
The son ... sulked"
Fifteen and 30-second versions of the clips are now airing. Nissin has made a reputation for bringing in foreign stars for their advertisements, famously utilizing Arnold Schwarzenegger for several ad campaigns.
