Bon Jovi: PS 22 does 'Prayer'

These talented like whoa kids go to PS 22 in NYC and sing there hearts out, they're amazingly talented and anyone who wants to cut funding to school music programs should watch these kids on video before they vote.

They sing Living on a Prayer here, its amazing.

And with all the covers going on Jon's ego should be satisfied, yet Yesterday by The Beatles is still the most covered song.  Sorry Jon's Ego.

Bon Jovi: Saturday Morning Art

I found these on youtube and the guy who paints them is damned good.  He's done two paintings of Jon and he records the creation on film and speeds it up.  Here's the first one he did:

Here's the second one, I would suggest you put the video on mute, but everyone knows I hate that song.

You can find out more about his art at splinteredstudios.com   and see more pictures of painting #2 at http://splinteredstudios.com/JonBonJovi5.htm

Bon Jovi: Jon Bon Jovi: Hard Rocker struggle with his children

Ok, this was translated with Google Translate, since my German is bad (although my English might be worse and I was born in the United States, although being born in New Jersey may lead me to be linguistically challenged).

"MY KIDS DRAG ME EVEN AT 'ROCK BAND' FROM '

Jon Bon Jovi at his performance in Cologne

Thursday afternoon, 15.05 clock, Jon Bon Jovi (48) comes into the Hyatt. As a superstar comes Sun Slightly mirrored sunglasses, easy-to-late, hair combed slightly only thirst for calm water. The make-up wife, he nodded in a friendly way, says: "Thank you, we need not today." He looks great - with almost 50, even if it's kids now have defeated even musically. ... More about that later

Next year one of the most successful bands on the planet comes back to Germany. Since last week's "Greatest Hits" album is on the market. All hits. More than 100 million albums sold. Jon drops down on a sofa, told Bild he says, "Well, to be back in Cologne. Feels like we have spent over 400 days in the city. "

Band 25 years, several tours. Most of Cologne was there. In the coming years not. Because it works, including Munich, Dusseldorf, Dresden and Mannheim. In Cologne, was a special gig. Housed in a former cinema. Only a few hundred guests.

Jon: "It does not matter whether we play in front of 800 000 or eight people. Somehow we have to ensure that none is sitting on its hands. "On what he thinks when he was in Germany when he is in Cologne?" One thing I remember well. We have even celebrated the second birthday of my daughter . So the city is part of the family. "

Speaking of family: There betrays the man from New Jersey, why does it sometimes spat at home.

.. "In 'Rock Band' on the games console I am now the oldie" is at the game's points for karaoke singing "Recently I lost my own song I wanted to 'Living above prayer' sing, but määäääp Kaputt.! - the system me being sacked. I was too bad. Hi, this is our song, when I go again trying to have the computer tell me again done. My kids found it funny, but Daddy was pissed. When the next tour there's the whole but again live, I promise. "

There was a first taste of it at the mini-gig in Cologne. There, Jon Bon Jovi rocked with tape for an hour on stage - and rewarded the cheering fans with "Bad Medicine" as the extra fat addition.

Here's some pictures from that article.

Bon Jovi: My Fantasy Band: Richie Sambora, Bon Jovi

Nice Band there Richie.   I have to agree on pretty much every choice.

Guitar - Jimi Hendrix

Jimi was such an innovator. I think that even when the greats, the Jimmy Pages and Eric Claptons of this world, saw Jimi for the first time they would have thought "Oh my god!" He influenced all of us: his style, his free spirit, the way he experimented with sonic stuff, and he also happened to be a great songwriter.

Guitar - Jimmy Page

The other guitar player would have to be Jimmy Page, who is a big hero of mine not only as a guitar player but also as a songwriter, record producer and a genius bandleader. I'm lucky enough to be friends with him. To see those two guys play together would be pretty monstrous; that would be cool.

Bass - Paul McCartney

You gotta stick a Beatle in there, for sure. Paul is not only a great bass player, but a great songwriter and a great singer. His legacy is deep and, again, he's another huge hero of mine.

Drums - John Bonham

Let's put Bonzo up there; he's such an original. There's a bunch of great drummers out there, but he would be pretty cool. As a drummer he almost played melodies – the way he tuned his drums and the way he made the fills, you can sing them. The fills themselves were very memorable, much like Ringo. The fills that Ringo did on those Beatles records were part of the music.

Keys - Elton John

Let's put Elton up there on keyboards because he's just an amazing singer, an amazing songwriter and an amazing keyboard player.

Vocals - Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra

Who would be the greatest lead singer of all time? We already have all those great singers in the band who can sing any rock'n'roll song. So we need somebody a bit different upfront. Elvis could probably do a good job as a lead singer; when he was in his prime he was probably the most dynamic rock'n'roll star of his time. I'd also like Frank Sinatra because of the way he interpreted a song. That would be an interesting combo.

Bon Jovi's 'Greatest Hits' album is out now. Bon Jovi play Edinburgh, Manchester and London in June 2011 (www.bonjovi.com)

I have an idea. Since Jon has subjected us to Who Says You Can't Go Home so many times lets pay him back. The crowds in London were close, but with a WORLDWIDE voting audience lets see if we can get Bon Jovi to play:
IN AND OUT OF LOVE or EDGE OF A BROKEN HEART
I know I dream the impossible dream, but it's possible.  Tweet your friends, post on Facebook, share it on Backstage, let's see if the unstoppable force (aka every Bon Jovi Fan on the face of the Earth) can stop the impenetrable ego (aka Jon Bon Jovi).

WE CAN DO IT!!!

Bon Jovi: Free Movie Tickets anyone?

If you're a BSwJBJ (I put the W in there cause I'm sure there's a lot of BS with Jon Bon Jovi, but I digress).

Why couldn't they have posted this last week??? I still sent a request though. We'll see, if anyone else entered let me know if you won.

Bon Jovi: The Ultimate Greatest Hits DVD

I bought my copy, gotta make a few partial payments on Jon's mortgage.

Here's some details.

The DVD is on sale for on Amazon.co.uk as I posted a few days ago.  With standard shipping it comes out to $17.89 US with the current exchange rates.  Your credit or debit card should have an additional 2-3% (or more) foreign currency transaction fee for your bank to do the currency exchange, while banks are known as "lending institutions" their primary goal is to make money, not to lose it.  If you attempt to have the fee waived the nice customer service person will tell you how this is in your cardholder agreement, blah blah blah (No I didn't do this, I worked for a bank and the lady was pissed when her $10000 French, Carriage style crib she bought for her baby was 2% higher than she expected after the currency change, and she DEMANDED I return that fee, that's the one fee that we could not waive since you elected to make the purchase with your credit card, if you're spending 10K on a crib, 2% shouldn't really matter, but I guess it does.)

The DVD is all regions (Like the MSG DVD) and NTSC which means it will play in newer US players.

So enjoy some more Jovi shopping, and remember, the holidays are right around the corner.

Bon Jovi: Tour 2011

Last January I decided to bite the bullet and join Backstage with Jon Bon Jovi. I always wanted to join the Fan Club since the days of the Secret Society (I was 10-11 back in 1986, what the hell is a money order to a 10 year old?).  But I always found a reason to spend the money on something else.

Everyone talks about how you can buy tickets early, and pit seats. So last year I was late for the Circle Tour, but last night.

I now understand the excitement.

The frustration.

The complete disbelief.

More frustration.

Insert a few choice curse words.

Did I say frustrated?

How do Pit Tickets in every venue sell out in 10 seconds??? Who types the Captcha words that fast?? I mean I was getting IXXI tounequet what does that mean?

Oh did I mention the excitement when you're happy your going (Yes I still get chills every time I hear Prayer or my personal favorite Wanted live, screw the haters that are tired of those songs, go see Lady Gaga instead.)

But I'm happy, I will be road tripping it Southwest Airlines style.

First Stop, San Antonio Texas. We will pretend we're Ozzy by wearing a dress and peeing on the Alamo.

Sorry in advance Texas.

Oh wait Lady Gaga will be in San Antonio 2 days before us, so we may get invited back.

We leave Texas for the public indecency of Viva Lost Wages, I mean Las Vegas.  We're going to spend a few days in LV.  And besides Bon Jovi see a few shows (LOVE anyone? Thunder From Down Under?)

The MGM Grand show was more expensive than the Garden and appeared to sell out faster.  It's a personal rule not to head into the New York area in February, last time I did that I tailgated in the Meadowlands in 28 degree weather staying warm by drinking Godiva laced hot chocolate, standing in snow drifts.  I live in Florida, I don't want to be cold.  I don't have the clothes to stay warm anymore.  Going North during the late winter months means New Wardrobe, that I'll wear twice.

So awesome.  San Antonio (& the Alamo) and the MGM Grand.  If anyone is interested in meeting up pre or post show in either city please let me know.

Another awesome Bon Jovi vacation to look forward to in 2011!!!

Bon Jovi: In Case you missed it Bon Jovi on the X-Factor

I don't typically watch these type of shows but you know it's Bon Jovi so I watched.

Did Jon look tired or was it just me? It almost felt like he hadn't warmed up enough, I mean I know he can't hit the high notes anymore but it seemed pretty bad tonight.

Happy Halloween

PREPARE TO BE FRIGHTENED.
*SCARY EVIL LAUGH*

Kinda Bon Jovi: Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Andrea!  This one is for you.

Richie Sambora - River of Love Live in a Whale's Vagina (Anchorman reference, type in Whale's Vagina into Google Maps and San Diego will come up, not kidding) San Diego 1991 *SWOON*

This video could make a Jon Girl head over to the Dark Side (Deep Darth Vader Breathing).  Richie's all sweaty.
