Bon Jovi kicked off their Australasian leg of their Circle world tour on the weekend at Westpac Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand and by all reports it went off.
According to the NZ Herald "Bon Jovi fans whoa, whoaed along" to their biggest songs including our faves "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Livin On A Prayer" and "Keep The Faith".
"Is this New Zealand or New Jersey?" said Jon, for what was remarkably their first concert on NZ's North Island in 15 years.
As you can see in the video we secured from YouTube, the band dedicated the song "When We Were Beautiful" to the Pike River miners. "Everybody here is thinking about everybody in New Zealand and the miners and their families who lost their lives," said Jon.
"It was a terrible, terrible disaster. It happened in America not too long ago in West Virginia… and it was just good men who were trying to put food on their table and provide for their families. My prayers go out to you."
The band played over 20 songs covering the biggest hits from most of their albums with New Jersey getting the biggest run.
The band will open the Australian leg of their Circle world tour in Perth on December 8.
